HISTORY

THE ARTIST: DAKRI SINCLAIR is the lead artist and designer behind all the products shown on our web site. Most of the products were initially developed for her children, Brauly and Maggie with her newest inspiration due to arrive sometime in April, 2004. Dakri is well known locally for her wall murals which can be found in numerous homes and businesses in the area. Dakri grew up in an artistic world and specializes in creating exceptional environments and accessories for children. With the help of her parents, brothers, husband and in-laws, she is able to dedicate herself to bringing you wonderful products and ideas for your home and children.

THE KNITTER: ANGIE SINCLAIR (Dakri’s mom) is an accomplished artist, designer and author. Her products and designs have sold in many major department stores all over the country with exports to Germany and Japan. She is solely responsible for the beautiful knitted items you’ll find on our web site. Each piece is hand-knit and embellished by Angie, making each one a unique, one-of-a-kind. Knitting is her favorite thing of many artistic talents and “Angie Sinclair” is a trademarked name.

THE CRAFTSMEN: DICK SINCLAIR (Dakri’s dad) specializes in photo art and is responsible for the free-standing, magnetic Paper Doll figures and for his heirloom photo scenes that create a personalized story. When Dick is not in his workshop, he can be found out walking along the Ohio River with his grandchildren.

JIM HERRELL (Dakri’s husband) is a master craftsman and builds alot of the furniture you’ll find in our retail shop in downtown Newburgh.

DERIK SINCLAIR (one of Dakri’s brothers) is also a talented craftsman specializes in making picture frames, bean bag tosses and absolutely anything else requested of him…there seems to be nothing he can’t do.

DIRK and TERESA (Dakri’s other brother and his wife) must also be mentioned. Although their time is limited, they are very creative and always willing to lend a hand in any capacity.

THE SEAMSTRESS: PEGGY HERRELL (Mother-in-law) does all the fine sewing for Sinclair’s. She also makes custom quilts and embroiders them with names and/or embroidery designs by Dakri and Angie. The quality of her work is remarkable. Be sure to see her Grandmother quilts under ‘One-of-It’s Kind’. A must have for every grandmother.

THE INSPIRATION
BEHIND THEM ALL:

BRAULY, age 5, and MAGGIE, age 2 are credited with keeping us all moving and shaking. They inspire us each and every day and do all product final approvals. DUSTIN, their cousin and son of Derik Sinclair is now seventeen and has passed these duties gleefully to Brauly and Maggie although, he does pop-in occasionally to help paint or lend a hand.
